Lessons can be 1-to-1 for individuals and we work in partnership with other charities & schools to provide group sessions.

All coaching is designed to suit each person's own abilities. They will learn to drive a pony as well as how to groom and harness their pony before and after each lesson.

As their sports driving skills improve, some of our drivers compete at local, regional and national Indoor and Outdoor carriage driving competitions.

Charity Of The Year 2012

Sports carriage driving is an exciting sport for people of all ages with an impairment and we aim to give them the chance to try for themselves and feel the benefits:

“Being stuck in a wheelchair most of time, never exceeding 4 miles an hour, carriage driving is one of the only times that I get a great rush of adrenaline and hope I can carry on driving for a long time.

"The wonderful teachers give expert tuition and encouragement; the ponies are extremely well schooled in their task and are of terrific temperament."   Experienced rider now a wheelchair user
